Exercise Those Green Thumbs

Crops are your bread and butter as far as making money and gaining XP. If you know the numbers, you can really increase either rather quickly.

Note: If you make a mistake and plant the wrong crop, you have the option of deleting that crop without having to delete that plot of land. You do not get your coins back, btw.

Crop Packs

Crops are automatically available as you level up with some exceptions: Golden Corn (available after buying the Harvest Wagon) and the Crop Packs. Neither crop pack offer a huge advantage in terms of the rate at which they yield coins or XP (see the charts below) but they do add to your arsenal of crops and the fruity pack especially gives some good-looking crops.

Summer Salad Crop Pack

Cost: 4000 Coins

The Summer Salad Pack includes radishes, lettuce, and green peppers.

NOTE: There is a quest to grow these three crops to make a salad. In order to complete the quest you need to harvest (not grow) them at the same time. Hint: one way of doing this is grow one plot of lettuce (16 hours) and the rest golden corn (10 hours). When you’re golden corn are ready, harvest only the golden corn and not the one plot of lettuce and plant radishes in the rest of the plots (6 hours). The lettuce and the radish should finish at the same time. You can harvest all the radishes except one. Now, grow the bell peppers (5 minutes). Once they’re done, harvest the three and the quest should complete. If you don’t have the golden corn then this should at least give you an idea of what to do.

Fruity Fun Crop Pack

Cost: 20 Smurfberries

The Fruity Fun Pack includes grapes, pineapples, and cantaloupes.

Below are graphs that will help you decide which crop is best depending on your need. Keep in mind that the following graphs are an approximation since it is near impossible to have 0 seconds in between picking and planting crops.
